Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog.
Friends, I just completed a major mission alongside Lord Sakai. Goro managed to get through with the message we sent. Now, we have to wait for reinforcements to arrive from the mainland. So, while waiting, I decided to explore this region of Izuhara a bit, since I haven't been here before.
As I travel through this state, I am sure to come across people who need help. Some have been detained by Mongol soldiers, and I might be able to rescue them. With this thought in mind, I began my journey.
Right at the start, I encountered a group of Mongol soldiers. I quickly charged in on horseback and launched the attack. I executed the assault in a truly cinematic style. I was personally very pleased with the attack style.
There were only three of them. If I had used the standoff skill, I could have taken them all out in one strike. But since I attacked in a cinematic style, I couldn't use that skill. Anyway, I killed one of them right at the start. I took out the other two as well. They hadn't taken anyone prisoner, but I did get a good amount of supplies and gold from them. Lucky for me.
As I moved ahead, I encountered another group. This group was much larger, so I didn't take any risks this time. I went straight in, threw a smoke bomb, and used the Chain Assassin skill. The combination of the smoke bomb and Chain Assassin is simply perfect. I can't even describe it. Every time I use it, I love it. It makes me want to use it again and again.
Unfortunately, I can carry only three smoke bombs. After that, I eliminated the remaining soldiers as well. None of them wielded spears, they carried only swords. I easily executed perfect parries against their sword attacks and took them down with counter-attacks.
The concerning thing is that none of them were Mongol soldiers, they were all Straw Hat Ronin. They belonged to that group of assassins.
As I went a little farther, I spotted a massive Mongolian camp. I had intended to bypass it. Unfortunately, I was spotted by Mongolian soldiers while trying to avoid them. They came over and attacked me.
I used my old tactic as usual. I threw a smoke bomb and immediately followed up with a chain assassination. You wouldn't believe it, I used up the remaining two smoke bombs right there and took out six enemies in an instant using chain assassinations.
A large number of soldiers kept rushing out from that fortress one after another. These were no ordinary soldiers. Some wielded massive maces, others carried spears, and some were even armed with bows and arrows. I employed my own fighting techniques against them all.
I used the Moon Stance against the spear soldiers. Then, when I fought against the swordsman, I used the Stone Stance. By employing various skills, I killed them all there, one by one.
I was badly injured a few times while fighting this battle, but I didn't give up. You see, losing just isn't my style. I don't lose easily anymore.
I could easily go and attack the Mongol fort if I wanted to. But instead, I decided to move ahead, as I’m not really in the mood for a mission right now. I’m currently enjoying the beautiful scenery of Izuhara. After riding for a while, I came across a small, lovely waterfall. The view was stunning, so I thought I’d stay here for a bit.
