After examining the site of Khaliset's secret ritual, Bayek's gaze fell upon a coffin placed there. Suspicious, he decided to open the lid to see what was inside. But the moment he lifted the lid, he was left utterly stunned; the coffin contained the body of a small child.
Bayek wonders why the child's body has been placed there. Just then, Khaliset attacks Bayek from behind with several of her hyenas. Fortunately, Bayek manages to dodge the initial attack.
Amidst the battle, Khaliset kept shouting that she would bring her dead daughter back to life at any cost. It was then that Bayek realized the sole purpose behind the horrific ritual, which had involved the slaughter of innocent people all this time, was the attempt to resurrect her daughter.
Bayek repeatedly tries to convince her that it is impossible to bring the dead back to life and that, instead, she is ruining the lives of innocent people. Khaliset refuses to listen to anything. Suddenly, she throws a smoke bomb, vanishes, and exits the pyramid.
Bayek also began looking for a way out of the pyramid. After a while, he discovered a tunnel and moved forward, but an even greater danger awaited him there. Flaming arrows began flying at him one after another from the darkness. As a few arrows struck him, his body caught fire; yet, he did not lose heart and slowly pressed on. Finally, he climbed a wall and emerged from the pyramid.
Upon stepping outside, Bayek sees Khaliset waiting for him with three hyenas. She once again uses a smoke bomb to vanish from sight, firing flaming arrows from within the smoke. Bayek retaliates, wounding Khaliset slightly with a fire bomb.
Then began a game of cat and mouse. Khaliset kept escaping by repeatedly using smoke bombs while firing flaming arrows from a distance. Bayek tried to pinpoint her location by tracking the arrows trajectories. He managed to strike Khaliset with his sword a few times, but she escaped every time.
Meanwhile, the three hyenas kept by Khaliset pounced on Bayek once again. However, this time Bayek skillfully evaded their attacks and killed all three of them, one by one.
Just then, a fierce dust storm erupted, obscuring everything from view. Yet, seizing this very opportunity, Bayek suddenly spotted Khaliset right in front of him. His power attack was fully charged; without a moment's hesitation, he rushed forward and drove his sword into Khaliset's body with a powerful blow.
Before dying, the two conversed for a while in that mysterious dream world. Then, Bayek delivered the final, fatal blow. It seemed as though three hyenas kept by Khaliset arrived to carry him away for the last time.
Thus ended 'The Hyena' mission. With the death of Khaliset, the brutal slaughter of innocent people in Giza also came to an end.
