At last, we both reached the peak of the hill. The fort Mioadake is built on a hill. From the bottom to the top, Uncle Shimura and I faced so many soldiers with different types of weapons. We both fought hard. Now, we reached the top position where the Hwacha is placed.
I have to capture that machine at any cost. This monster machine didn't stop for a moment. Those soldiers were firing arrows like rain. I somehow managed to escape from those attacks. After I reached near the Hwacha, I climbed up the tower and killed two soldiers who were using it.
The machine is now under my control. I can easily fire flaming arrows using this massive weapon whenever I wish. Lord Shimura came up and praised me highly. He remarked that he had never seen anyone fight like this before. In his view, I have become an extraordinary samurai. I said to him, I learned everything about warfare from you.
Lord Shimura said, No, Jin. You are no longer just a samurai. You have mastered many combat techniques that even I could not have taught you.
After finishing the conversation, I set out on the mission. Goro had already embarked on his sea voyage from the shore. From my vantage point above, I could see numerous ships out at sea. I knew full well that these vessels would not let Goro pass through. The only option was to destroy the small Mongolian ships and boats scattered across the water.
Otherwise, they would kill Goro. From my point, I began firing flaming arrows at those ships. The Mongol soldiers spotted him steering the boat and quickly launched an attack on him. I kept attacking their ships from above. Goro was barely holding on, while I continued to rain down arrows, destroying the Mongol ships one by one.
You can clearly see in the footage how I’m setting the ships ablaze by firing flaming arrows from such a distance. Of all the combat I’ve experienced in Ghost of Tsushima so far, using this bow was the most exciting part. It is an incredibly powerful weapon, and it was great fun to use.
I failed on my first attempt because some small Mongolian ships which I hadn't noticed, reached Goro's ship and killed him. I was busy destroying the larger ships and overlooked the smaller ones, which is why this mistake happened.
But I succeeded the mission on my second attempt. I did not repeat the same mistake this time. Instead of targeting the massive ships first, I destroyed the smaller vessels. After that, I took out the large ships, clearing the path. The messenger, carrying the news for Lord Shimura, then set sail for the mainland.
Once our mission is complete, Lord Shimura approaches and speaks with Sakai for a while. He reveals a topic regarding the message sent to the mainland. He had previously withheld it from Sakai. The news is that Lord Shimura intends to declare Sakai his own son.
The bond between the two was so beautiful, showing just how deeply the uncle loves his nephew. The mission concluded on an emotional note. Now, we await the response to the message sent to the mainland.
