Hey Actifiters!
It was a beautiful Wednesday!
I've posted before about trying to figure out my schedule for running. I think last week I mentioned something about trying to shift to a Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday schedule. Which at some point I would really like to do. I think it will be a little easier to sustain and I'm also hoping it will allow me the opportunity to also add some strength training on the other days since I won't have to get up quite as early to squeeze in some strength training on my non-running days.
All that to say, this week I looked ahead to the weekend and realized that my wife is going to be out of town so I wasn't going to be able to run on Saturday. So the only days I am running this week would have been either Tuesday, Thursday or Wednesday Friday. I had trouble getting myself out of bed on Tuesday so I thankfully was able to do that today.
I managed to get a 2.25 mile run in which isn't bad, I'd love to go longer, but time is often my limitation. I seem to be kind of plateauing around a 10.5 minute mile, which isn't very fast I know, but as I've been running more hills lately, I think it's still decent for where I'm at.
The days are definitely getting shorter, but that's actually something I'm really enjoying. Most of the time I'm out running I get to enjoy the stars and first glimpses of dawn. It makes for a really unique experience. Sort of getting to see the world before most everyone else does.
