So I had to go to the hospital yesterday to check my heart. It's a long story; I was diagnosed with calcification of the heart and furred arteries back in 2019; however, my GP very kindly omitted to inform me of the diagnosis. When they contacted me to ask me why I wasn't ordering Aspirin, the worrying truth came out that I had gone for two years without any treatment! I demanded that my GP submit me for tests again to see where we were at and what treatment was needed.
It turns out that yes, I do have calcification of the heart and arteries both sides of my heart are furred up. I went home to give the wife the good news and showed her where the life insurance policy was.
Me: "I need to go back to the hospital, they'll write to me. I have to have a stress test."
Wife: "Stress Test?"
Me: "Yeah, they'll put me under some stress."
Wife: "What? You're stressed enough as it is! Why on earth would they give you more stress?"
In a French accent.
Me: "Yooou stuoopid wooman!
It's not that sort of stress! They'll stick me on a treadmill or something. If they wanted to put me under mental stress they would ask you to pop down and sit you in front of me and let you do your normal routine of: Why is that there? Can you move this? Where has that gone? Who did that? Have you done this?"
Everyone fell about laughing, including the missus.
