Seriously? - Past it.

I have a customer that only asks for Windows 7 machines, predominantly laptops. The problem is, as I keep telling him, while Windows 7 will install, we can't get the drivers for more modern hardware.

Today he went one better.

𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿: "Hi Pete, I need a computer with XP Pro 32bit. It's for a customer of mine who uses it to run a manufacturing machine."
𝗠𝗲: "I'll be amazed if any of my suppliers have that!"
𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿: "Oh? I told my customer that I was sure you could help."
𝗠𝗲: "If it's XP and runs a machine, I take it you'll want a serial port?"
𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿: "Surely that's standard?"
𝗠𝗲: "They haven't come as 'standard' since about 2000! We really are getting to the end of all this old software you keep asking for, you know."
𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿: "But I don't like Windows 10."
𝗠𝗲: "We're on 11 now."
