Hello, friends especially foodies!

Recently, I went to Cibubur area - East Jakarta because i had some business to do. There, after the business had finished, i went to the nearest shopping center, not to buy anything, but to have my brunch there before i continuing my journey to back home.

After i considering of where to have my brunch, then i decided to have it in a place that don't have any branches near where i live so this was my first experience there. The place was quite wide. It named Ratu Bakwan Malang, and if it is translated into english it would be Queen Malang Meatballs which referred to the brand Queen that sold Malang Meatballs. Malang is the name of the city in East Java where the Meatballs originally came from.

Modest, they had tables with plastic chairs in their dining area. The dining area was quite large.

The menu that this restaurant had was just Malang Meatballs. With the variations that they offered like a bowl of original queen meatballs, tendon queen meatballs, complete queen meatballs, chili queen meatballs and egg queen meatballs.

And also they sold them not in a bowl, you could ordered them one by one like smooth meatballs, tendon meatballs, fried balls, large chili meatballs, large egg meatballs, fried dumpling, tofu meatballs, shewmay, yellow noodle, beehon and rice.

While for the drink they had tea, lemon tea, tarik tea, orange iced, coconut orange iced, young coconut iced, grassjelly coconut iced, cappucinno, mixed iced, teler iced, mineral water and tea in a bottle.

The price there in their menu excluded the 10% tax.

Anyway, there they had a small kitchen near their cashier table. This was the place where they prepared our food and drink order.

Then not a long time after i ordered, the meatballs were ready. Here was mine, i ordered their complete queen meatballs.

It contained tofu meatballs, shewmay, fried dumpling, fried ball, smooth meatball and rough tendon meatball.

The taste of each of them, first the tofu meatball, it tasted savory with only thin meat on one side of it.

Next, shewmay, it also tasted savory, it had thin skin with soft meat inside.

For the fried dumpling, it had crispy skin with savory flavour and it had thin meat inside.

While the fried ball mostly made of flour with savory flavour.

The taste of their meatballs were also savory, the different between them was just their texture, one smooth while the other rough.

For the soup, i didn't taste any beef broth at all and i could say it had lots of MSG, not one of my choice.

Overall i didn't enjoy the balls much cause they just tasted so so and the soup contained much MSG.

For the price it wasn't pricey at all cause it was just 25,300 IDR or just around 1.58 USD for a bowl. And it included 6 kind of meatballs with little noodle and veggie.

But with the taste that just so so and that much MSG, would you still try these meatballs?
