Hello, friends especially foodies!
Last Saturday mommy and i went out to have dinner outside, i would like to introduce one of my favorite and my passed away mom favorite lamian (flying noodle). This time we went out to Ciputra Mall, an old mall which was located in West Jakarta. There, there was a branch of this well known flying noodle restaurant.
When we came at around 6 pm, the restaurant was full of customers. Here how it looked from the outside.
You could only see their new menu banner, hongkong spicy chicken because they had no other menu banner there.
At front you could see their whole menu without entering the restaurant. We were on waiting list yesterday so we needed to wait for some times before could ordering their menu.
There were many people before us, after the waitress called my name, mommy took the chair on our table, while me, i needed to order for us. And there i needed to wait for another some times, cause the customers before me consisted of 8 persons and they needed to order many food for all of them.
Anyway the menu that this restaurant provided were value set which already included their free flow ocha, for these value sets they had fried chicken hainanese rice, chicken mushroom soy sauce lamian and fried chicken lamian. They also had some hainanese rice menus with the toppings like roasted chicken, steamed chicken, roasted duck, hongkong fried chicken or even mixed of them which was called combo.
They also had their hot menus such as king tori paitan chicken lamian, rica-rica lamian, hong kong extra spicy fried chicken lamian, or extra spicy chicken soup lamian. They also still had king curry chicken lamian which was also hot. And they also had some fried chicken menus, their frieed chicken had two choices of extra spicy and golden (original). They had roasted duck lamian, beef lamian, barbeque combo lamian, golden soup chicken lamian, beef rib lamian, dumpling ramen plus you could also try their spicy cheese lamian series or their new extra spicy series like extra spicy chicken lamian, extra spicy chicken soup, extra spicy beef lamian, extra spicy fried chicken lamian, and others.
They also had some side dish like shewmay, fried springrolls, fried dumplings, dumpling, beancurd spring roll or chicken feet. While for the beverages, they didn't have many kind of it, only choco shake, lychee iced, orange iced, lemon tea iced, ocha iced and lime squash.
Oh yeah i am about to give you a bit explanation about lamian, lamian or flying noodle was a fresh hand made noodle which was made by flying it then bang, threw it away and flying it again that's why they called it flying noodle or lamian.
While i was ordering some people keep coming to this place and they were on waiting list. By the way when i reached the cashier she said there were some menus that were sold out like hainanese rice, and some lamian menu, included their king tori paitan chicken lamian. Ok then i ordered and paid, i got the receipt and also the table number.
Well it wasn't cheap at all cause for two persons i paid 136K IDR or around 9.03 USD , which included their golden chicken soup lamian, beef lamian and two glasses of free flow ocha. Tell me how do you think of this price.
Look at how many customers they had on saturday evening. Their dining area was quite large and it was full. I thought it wasn't comfortable at all to have dinner with the condition of full of customers like we had. I enjoyed peacefully not crowded surrounding of restaurant, really!
After waiting at around 15 minutes, our lamian were served to our table. Here of how it looked like
I was a bit curious of how messy they looked and how about their taste.. Supposed to be not this kind of messy when we ate there.

Mommy said her lamian was just okay in savory flavour and she added dried chilli oil on it just to add more spicy flavour on it. But she also said the soup had savory flavour while her noodle didn't taste any savory at all.
While me, i was trying back one of my favorite lamian, golden chicken series.
My curiousity answered. First i would like to share to you about their lamian, it wasn't tasty at all, even it didn't have any flavour in it, where it supposed to be savory originally. Next, their broth, it wasn't taste at all, because name golden chicken soup series usually had deep chicken broth soup. It was below my expectation.
After that their chicken, was like being fried before, messy and not tasty at all. It didn't have any broth at all in it, no savory and it had yucked flavour and i don't want to have it again for the days of my life.
Yes like usually they brought some mushroom and seaweed to it which was fine and once more, the egg they put to it was also a big mistake, it was fishy.
It was the worst terrible lamian of my life.
Of course i won't come again there to have lamian, i was so disappointed.
