Hello, friends especially foodies!
I don’t know do you have any favorite memorable snacks, like I do. But I believe many of us have it too, one that I really liked when I was a child, I remember when I was in elementary school, was corndog. That time, the seller named it hotdog on a stick, but it is similar to corndog. I remember mom often took me to the corndog seller because I really into it. So one day when I passed through a restaurant that sold it, I would like to have it to have a memorable childhood snack, even now I needed to have it alone.
SAMJIN AMOOK
Located on the LG floor Senayan City Mall, it is a Korean restaurant that sold Korean street food such as tteokbokki, ramyeon, odeng…
And of course corndog, it said that we should order in the cashier for the corndog, which was available in three flavours: mozzarella cheese, sausage or ramen. When I asked the seller, she said that the corndog already stand by in the skewers showing case. So…
I came to the showing case and take a look of what they had there.
They had beef roll, golden’s mace, sausage hot dog, batagor bomb, egg pouch, mandu, ramen hot dog, crab bar, fried chili pepper, spicy amok bites, and spicy cheese.
They also had lobster ball, potato sausage corndog, sausage corndog, amook bites, cheese croquette, crab mentai croquette, spicy roll sushi, mac & cheese, cheese corndog, and mozzarella hot dog.
While for the drinks, they had all time favorite such as hot/iced brown sugar milk coffee, hot/iced Americano, hot/iced chocolate, hot/iced café latte, iced blackcurrant tea, hot/iced lemon tea, hot/iced lychee tea and hot/iced peach tea. They also had worldwide drinks, such as iced banana milk, iced coffee chocolate, iced green tea, hot/iced coffee caramel and chocolate nutella.
After picked for the sausage corndog I wanted, I ordered the drink and paid. The drink I ordered that time was Iced Peach Tea. I never had that drink before and because I wanted something fresh so I picked that drink. And they only had the regular cup that time (the small cups were sold out), so I ordered it in regular cup.
Before I explain about the taste of both the snack and drink that I ordered, before I forget, I would tell you a bit about their dining area. Not large, the area only had 4 dining tables, which mean you need to check it first before you eat there whether you get the chairs or not. I was so lucky that there was a table left for me.
Even the place was not large, it was quite comfy and clean so that you could do chit chat while you have the snack and drink there.
Now let me tell you about their SAUSAGE CORNDOG and ICED PEACH TEA…
First, their snack, SAUSAGE CORNDOG
They made the corndog a bit crispy from the bead crumbs they used for the outer. But it was soft in the bread part and it had savory flavour of the meat sausage inside. The flavour of the corndog they made overall was dominantly sweet with only a bit of savory flavour of the dough. I like the sausage they put in it but I didn’t really into the dough of the bread they made because it was sweet. I remembered that corndog I usually had when I was a child was savory, so it didn’t represent the flavour of the snack correctly, but I was still happy cause it was a bit brought back my sweet memory with my late lovely mother.
Don’t forget I also had their ICED PEACH TEA
The peach tea I had was so fresh. It had my favorite flavour of peach, oh my, it really tasted like the peach gummy I loved to eat when I was a little child, so it also brought back the memory, this time my late grandmother, cause she used to buy me the peach gummies I loved. The taste of the tea was sweet and sour, tasty in a hot sunny day!
Of course I would come back to SAMJIN AMOOK to try their other menu!
