Lately when my aunt took me out to have lunch, it was too late to have lunch because it was almost 2 pm when we arrived in the restaurant. The restaurant was popular so that it still had many customers at that time.
The restaurant’s name is Kampung Kecil, of it it’s translated into English, it becomes Little Village. I didn’t know why they gave this name but there we could sit on chair or sit on the floor which named lesehan in my country.
When we came there, it was almost 2 pm, and like I said before the place was still crowded, some customers had their dine in by sitting on the chairs while the others sitting on the floor (lesehan). The place was authentic with our tradition, plaid roof and wooden furnish.
The restaurant sold many kind of Indonesian food like chicken, duck, fish and so on. They also had some vegetable menus such as kale, green bean, sour soup and others. There they also had sided dishes like sumedang tofu, tempeh and others.
After we finally got our chairs and table, we ordered then gotta waiting for 15 minutes for the drink and side dish then needed to wait around 10 minutes to get the veggie we ordered and packages we ordered for our late lunch.
For the side dish, sumedang tofu, it had smooth hole texture inside but crispy soft outside. It had savory flavour and served with sambal kecap (chilli soy sauce) which had sweet and a bit spicy flavour.
For the main menu, all of us chose crispy duck package. The crispy duck had crispy soft outer skin texture, inside was juicy and soft with savory flavour. It served with tasty spicy chilli paste. One of the best crispy duck you could find! The package also completed with sour soup, it had veggie like corn, green bean, peanut and chayote. The sour soup had sweet sour flavour and so fresh. This was tasty too!
We also still had their seafood hotplate which consisted of kale with shrimp, squid and carrot. It had light savory sweet flavour and just so-so.
I think you should try their crispy duck and also sour soup!
