Hello, friends especially foodies!

If you visit my city, Jakarta and you are located near Agus Salim street which also well known as Sabang area, Menteng, don't forget to visit one of a well known authentic Indonesian food restaurant there. This restaurant sold authentic minang/melayunese food.

Here how the restaurant looked from the outside

You could see that at its' front there was a stall where a restaurant's chef made some of their dishes.

Inside they had a quite large dining area, home style. And so many customers inside although we came there too late for the lunch, at around 2 pm.

You could see that there so many indonesian customers and also international customers also there. You could see that this restaurant was a popular Indonesian food restaurant. The place was actually large and quite comfortable but you couldn't be there for a long time because of the enormous number of customers that it always has.

At the table then the waiter would serve us quickly with their dishes, in small serving portion. So you could choose anything you like there but be careful they would charge all the portions you took (even if you only took a little of the soup of some, they will charge you). Of course they also served us rice too. Mom took for us first because they put it in a large bowl.

What they served us that day were chili stirred long bean, cassava leaves, smashed sweet potato leaves, cow feet gulai, authentic spices fried chicken, chicken liver and potato in balado chilli paste, beef dendeng batokok in green chilli paste, shrimp in chilli paste, chicken gulai, fried potato fritter, cow's brain gulai, and also fried egg.

Actually they sent some other plates on our table for us to choose.. Here were some photos when we were enjoying our lunch.

Oh no, with that so many kind of dishes made us confused of what dishes to choose!

Now let me tell you one by one the dishes we had there

This one called daun ubi tumbuk in my language or if it is translated it would be smashed sweet potato leaves. It had coconut milk spices food. It had tasty savory flavour, with soft texture. So delicious and you should try it!

The second dish we had was awesome..

This named shrimp in chilli paste. It was shrimp cooked in the chilli paste. It had sweet, savory and also spicy flavour. The shrimps were fresh and not fishy. Even mom also could eat it well and really loved it, we finished two portions of it. You must try it, this was our most favorite dish there..

Last we had was their authentic legendary spices fried chicken.

Their fried chicken had authentic spices, savory tasty flavour with soft texture. This was one of their authentic so that every table ordered it. One menu that you should also try!

The price for our dishes were not cheap, for two portions of rice, two portions of shrimp, two pieces of their fried chicken and a portion of their ubi tumbuk veggie plus two bottles of 330 ml mineral water we paid 214,500 IDR or around 14.8 USD. Not cheap, right?
