As requested by the love of my life, I'm making him a pork pastel. The creamy delicious taste of meat, vegetables and the milk combine is truly mouth-watering.
I started making this when one time my Aunt sent me this kind of dish whom they cooked for lunch and I really loved it and asked how it's done and I tried it myself and liked it much! Though my Aunt can't tell me what it's called lol.
I love cooking and the best part of it is eating. I've got a big belly now, full packed!
So let's get started, this is just an easy peasy cooking.
Ingredients
- pork, diced
- potato, medium diced
- carrot diced
- pepper, diced
- mushroom, diced
- white onion, diced
- garlic, minced
- green peas
- evaporated milk
- double cream milk
- pork cubes
- black pepper
- salt
- chopped parsley
You can make the ingredients diced bigger but since my 2-year-old daughter Tia will eat too I made the cut smaller.
Here's what you need to do:
Heat the pan and sauté garlic, onion then pepper in butter or oil of your choice. I prefer vegetable oil.
Add the pork and sauté until it turns brown.
Add the mushrooms.
Seasoned it with salt and pepper and then put the pork cubes.
Add the carrots and the potatoes and cooked it for a minute.
Then add the evaporated milk. When it boils add the double cream milk. You have to stir occasionally make sure the bottom doesn't stick or get burnt.
Add the green peas.
Bring it to a boil until all the vegetables and meat are cooked. Keep stirring until it thickens. You don't need flour.
Served and garnish it with chopped parsley!
Bon Appètit!
You should definitely try this scrumptious dish! And I guarantee you will like it guys. 😉
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
