In 2019, many things had happened. Some people whom I think is important in my life had passed away, some came to the world and joined us. Crypto is not doing much good to me, especially #steem. I held on to my dearly life whilst the damn car had it tire burst on a freeway, got out of a huge near miss, and it's now time for a great reflection of my one whole year. You'll be seeing a lot more ugly selfies of myself now!
Health and physical appearance
Achievements: Over the entire year of 2019 up until last week, I've manage to continue to workout. Be it the hardcore ones or the normal exercises, I did it. Over the weekend, I'm doing my park run, hill run and I'm enjoying it much. I think I did great in some aspect of workout, especially talking about pacing. Many thanks to my dear friend @erikah (
@erikahfit as I'm mostly bothering her #actifit accounts for that matter) in supporting me despite I seldom leave her messages, she has always come back curate my #sportstalk content, giving me pointer on how can I pace myself.
Failures: Nobody likes to talk about failures, but it is there going together with the achievements. Despite I'm working out, running the same time, but I had totally failed in the aspect of lifestyle. I've been eating too much and having too much fun with junk food, putting enough calories onto myself preventing myself to slim down. I had made it a point that I write my monthly achievement posts, and I had failed almost every single months. Again, it's a disciplined issue.
Steem network and physical social life
Picking from previous point, this year SP has been growing drastically compare to 2018, where I planned for 1200sp, and ended up 1800 which I'm very happy about. And therefore, I had planned on 3600SP for 2019, and by now I'm already very close to 6000sp. Mainly due to curation projects, along the way have a few other ocras and whales supporting me, and also some translation work. Last but not least, I got a huge success from my failure of controlling my diet, which lead me to start my #tasteem journey in a bold and crazy way. At this point, the background music of final countdown should sounded right up and a buffalo crashed into a party. That's me! I love to write food review! And during the entire year I've manage to attend several meetup occasions with people from around the world.
In physical social life, I took a huge step back. Doing my #steem thing had me really suck down all my precious time with friends and family. Even going out for a meal, I'm the only bastard taking photos of everywhere. Seriously, when you have a friend on the dining table taking photographs on every dish, you'll know they up to something with their social media, and I'm that asshole. I had to work until so late everyday trying to put up my post, and I haven't even spend enough time with the kids and ex-girlfriend. This has to stop or else I may regret in the future. Which, already had some regret with some friends that we often met up for breakfast. For the past 2 years, I've met some great people in real life, and we meet up every Friday for breakfast, until one of the Friday few weeks ago, there's an extra package of food left on the table, nobody dare to consume that package of food that belong's to the deceased. The following week, again there's another package of food left, we all quietly packed up that "leftover" and gave it to one of the restaurant worker and nobody wants to comment further on another friend of us had gone to the better place, hopefully in heaven. Only after they're gone, then I realize I know very little about them. Finally get to see their wife, their children, but nobody want to meet up another person's family for the first time, when he's already gone.
Work
Office work is not really an achievement, but considering I survived until year end is a miracle. The job security is rather loose at this time, especially marketing force is no longer a real requirement for most insurance industries. Some people whom I think they can't perform, had left the company for good, whilst some people whom I don't like still surviving in the company together with me but they become a better person and I'm now able to work easier with them.
Ok, my pants area little too tight. I really need to lose some weight! Back to failure of my work, ever since government abolished goods sales and service tax, and 3 months later imposed service tax, there's a 3 months gap on the insurance policies in my company which has extra GST needed to refund to client, and there's 3 months of oustanding sales tax needed to collect back from customers. It's not like I did not try to collect, customer always said those were not spelt in the insurance policies in the first place. What can we say? The government didn't say it earlier, and did not allow insurance operator to collect beforehand. What matter most, giving a refund to client is also a pain in the ass! Can you imagine your insurer write a snail mail to your house, tell you you'll need to fill up the electronic online banking payment authorization form and send it back to them, so the insurer can refund you $2? So far I only got a few that came back to me to proceed with the refunds, which the value is larger than $100. All those long outstanding is still there standing, but I don't see how long can I stand by the credit control meeting. I've been chasing up down left right center, like getting punch in the face every month for the same issue. If this not getting sort out, I think I won't have next year in this job no more.
There you have it, my 3 most significant achievements and success in 2019, and 2 of them involved #steem. I haven't talk about how much #drugwar killed my time. I should really consider to shut down a few other accounts that is now handling by me. They're not profitable at all, considering #dwd token is so damn cheap, but who knows if they got a pump, I may just regret that I sold them all at dirt price. I'll do better in 2020, and really shut down some of the unuse stuff. I'll lay out a plan by the end of this month, right after Christmas.
