At least when she is between the monitors, she is out of the way of the keyboard. Of course she likes to walk right on the keyboard to get in between the monitors.
She is always wanting her snacks. When I say, Her snacks, that means a scoop of her wet food. Her main food is the dry salmon and sweet potato cat food. I buy that at Costco.
Well, there are other fresh food for her to get. Yep I have been seeing or hearing mice. I even see my cat waiting and crouching by the sofa. I would imagine a mouse is there.
I would like to put out some mouse traps, but I don't want my cat to get hurt by a mouse trap. So for right now I have been putting out some chocolate chips, organic 51 percent cacao. Yes, I am giving the mouse or probably mice some really good chocolate chips.
Why am I doing that? Well, I read that chocolate to mice is poison. Well I do seen the chocolate chips missing and they still seem to be alive. Maybe these mice have some kind of immunity to chocolate. I don't know.
I started to think how I could put out mouse traps without hurting my cat. Then I thought maybe if I put mouse traps in a box with peanut butter as the bait. In the box I would cut out holes big enough for mice to get in then I seal up the top of the box with packaging tape.
This way the cat will not be able to get to the mouse traps, but the mice can.
Well, I am just working it out in my head right now. If I did do this mouse traps in a box technique I would line up a bunch of mouse traps as before sometimes they get away.
If the mouse ran away it might trigger another mouse trap as it tries to escape. Well any that is how I used to do it when I didn't have a cat and the mice or mouse would be in my house.
I am wondering what happened to my skunks? I thought I had 2 skunks living under my house and another set of skunks living under my shed. I wonder if they moved on? I haven't smelled their scent in awhile.
I read that skunks eat mice. Well, my cat eats mice too, but maybe she likes her snacks more than the mouse.
Well, anyway it seems that I always had skunks, but if they went away I know another set of skunks will take their place. We shall see.
So hopefully the skunks with come back and eat a bunch of mice and as for the mice that came into the house, I will have to look into mouse traps in a box, so to protect the cat.
