Fascinating Dok Chongko, the symbolic flower of my Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University
I graduated from the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. And Dok Chongko, in the Thai language, or Bauhinia flower, in the English language, is the symbolic flower of the faculty.
There are many Chongko trees covering the area of the faculty. The flower is fascinating with pinkish-purple. Due to their graceful trunk and beautiful orchid-like flowers, they also acted as ornamental trees around the buildings of the faculty
Their leaves are heart-shaped which are very attractive and these are one of the significant symbols of my faculty.
At present, whenever I find Dok Chongko in other places, I like to stop and admire them and miss the sweet old days when I studied at the faculty.
Let’s see their beauty….
