You know it has been awhile since I have written anything on this blog. I am afraid maybe I don't care as much as I used to.
So today with pen and paper I will write something as I think it is time to write.
I remember one time a woman wanted me to help her on English. She is Vietnamese. I told her if she really wanted to be forced to speak English, she should do sales. Well I didn't hear from her in a bit, then she emailed me saying she is a real estate agent. Well good for her. I hope she does well. I haven't heard from her since.
And what have I been doing lately? Driving people around and going to the store for my brother.
Driving people around, meaning my neighbors. I have been driving my neighbor's kid's from school mostly for almost 7 years in December. When I started that in December 19th, 2019 all the kids and there were 5 kids, one in high school and the rest in elementary school and that elementary school was from kindergarten to 8th grade. Then they go to high school.
So now 3 kids have graduated from high school and there are two kids left that I drive mostly from school cause the mom usually drives her kids to school in the morning.
But an accident happened and the mom took a left turn and a woman hit her in the front bumper area causing the bumper to come off along with the headlights and stuff. In other words, undriveable. And it looks like it is her fault. I told her I hate to make a left hand turn on a busy street.
Anyway I also had to drive my neighbor to work and from work, well, until she got herself another car to drive. Of course she does pay me for all those rides, plus the rides for driving the kids home from school.
Yet, recently she has bought a brand new car, about 40 grand. I wanted her to buy a used car and I gave lots of different options, but she didn't like this or that about the cars I chose on Craigslist, so she showed up on her day off, with a brand new Honda Sport Hybrid. So I did congratulate her on her purchase.
Me I think 40 grand in debt is a bit much. I like buying used cars, usually about $3000 or less in cash. But I have never bought a new car in my life. So I am only used to buying used cars. I know I save more money that way.
So I do continue to drive the kids that are still in school, from school and at certain times to school, when the mom can't do it that is.
I also drive some of the kids that already graduated from high school to their jobs when they need it. When they can't pay at the moment, then it goes on their tab.
Also my brother pays me to go to the store and get him things. So this morning I went to the store to get him stuff and I am home now.
So that is my driving gig.
