What you ordered versus what you got has been that challenge in online businessing. This is why I most times have to head to the market to source for the right product myself. Phone cameras can be deceptive; everything gets well polished but the reality may be a product regret.

I have heard and adding to that, read to confirm a news about a customer that charged redbull (energy drink company) to court for not giving him Wings after several years of using the product. Funny right, but he became a millionaire in the process as the company has to compensate him.

I just kept this article in my archives waiting for the appointed moment. I guess today is that day. ALL these pop up ads can be annoying yet you have to understand that they are trying to do business and make sales.

One can't ignore the impact of advertising to business. In fact, as an entrepreneur you will understand more. Advertising is one of the TOP sectors I am planning to leverage and improve our business sales. I have met with several marketers to find out just the right strategy plus an affordable one.

Nevertheless, some businesses have made advertising boring or maybe I should say, ridiculous. The unprofessionality in it can be irritating. I just saw one of such pop up ads and although not the first time I have seen that particular company running that advert, I had to take much time to look at it this time around.

It is a loan app company advertisement. We all know the whooping charges this people charge on monthly loans and the amount gets even higher if it will last for three to night months. You can pay up to 40% in the process depending and what was their advertising talking of?

Before getting there let's do some calculations. N250K for let's say six months plus charge can be N350K (installment payments for six months). The longer the months, the higher the interest rate. A month month loan can accrue 20% interest rate. You can see how alarming the rates are.

And yet, such a company can boldly stand out on a video advert to say N100K loan to pay interest rate of N1500 (totalling N101,500). I mean, where doe this company get this fraudulent advertising mindset from? It seems a beyond the roof fraud just to get customer attention. Maybe the best advice can be, do well to avoid the entire loaning system.

I know it can seem painful after going through the entire loan process to discover you were lied to and that it is even no where near any other assumptions you can imagine. Yes, be ready to pay around N60K extra as interest from what was first assumed to be just N1500. Did you even see that coming?

To conclude, let me add, others may see it as an eye-catching advert. A click bait and whatever, bit if you are to ask me, THIS IS FRAUD and very irritating to see professionals deploying it. It is something that I the right measures are taken, they could be sued to pay damaged. I feel the need for ads monitoring department in the country to help curb this kind of widespread heavy lies. customers are not meant to be taken for granted. This is really what we call ‘false hope and a bad marketing strategy’.
