Do you realize that people that have less are forced to adapt to smart spending and when they later have more they make proper budgeting a foregone alternative. This is why I keep saying, the worst form of slavery is pleasure. Anyone that can keep himself disciplined in his days of abundance has mastered the ethics of self control.
Don't you think if we prioritized priorities we would have lived a much easier and simpler life. Ok, it depends on what we will like to admit as priorities because to some of us, overspending can be a priority. I was listening to such a teaching where the preacher said he was convinced to buy something that he already had.
Being more precise, he had to set such an example with smart phones and cars. Someone told him about the latest smartphone with new features. It had this, it had that and well, the man was with one which was working. He has an Ipad and a laptop to even add up to his current smart phone so why buy another was something he was contemplating. Of course he had the money to go for the latest but to what end?.
It was the same thing with the car, he was told to go for something else to add to his collection when he is yet to even drive the ones already parked in his carriage to his satisfaction. It was never about, ‘I don't have’ but rather, ‘I don't need it’. The line here is drawn very straight.

Maybe many of us may be able to relate to let me use something that is most common. How often do you just prefer chewing after having a good meal? At this point, you are not buying these chewables out of hunger but just to satisfy instant wants or properly put, spend some extra money because it is there. Trust me, if it wasn't there, you would have kept your extra appetite in check. If you want to follow this, it can create a vacuum for an extra 10% to 20% additional monthly expenses.
I happen to hear a conversation (actually it was a comedy video, ads or whatever it was that was played loud by someone who was in the same vehicle with me I guess or was just by the walkway. The talk was about a car and its horsepower. It was the center talk of the video, pointing to why that car is a hot cake currently.
On my end, ‘one of the reasons I would buy a car is not for speed' (I guess you understand the kind of speed I am talking of here). Yes, ALL that horsepower blah blah blah is a waste. Am I buying a sports car or for commercial use? Doesn't the law give a regulated speed for driving for your safety and others.
To conclude, let me add, how come some people don't think this far, you bought a car of 1000 horsepower let's assume but you are NEVER TO SPEED UP TO THAT LIMIT, yet you paid a good bucks because of that speed. All you do is boast around that you have a car of 1K horsepower, the fact is, you just wasted money if actually it was just for horsepower purpose. The same thing goes into many areas of our daily living at the take up is, is it actually needful?.
