Giving and taking is the best part of living our healthier life in a village or any kind of community. I learned a lot from them, so this time I taught them how to cook special foods and desserts. They deserve to taste some delicious food from the urban lifestyle.
This week I will be coming home to the city and before I leave the students, I gave them Maja Blanca. I divided it into small sizes to be contributed equally.馃槉馃槉馃槉. I am so excited about how they taste it.
Ingredients:
- I kilo cornstarch
- three pieces of coconut
- peanuts
- I kilo white sugar
- 1 condensed milk
- can corn kernel
Procedures:
- Grate manually the coconut to produce the coconut milk.
- Bring it to boil with the lowest heat.
- Add the sugar and condensed milk
- Mix the corn starch with water before adding to the heated coconut milk
- When become sticky, add the corn kernel.
- Remove from heat and drop all in a tray. Aftpulverizedg the batter, use the spoon to level up the top and become plain with the mixture of ingredients.
- Add the semi-pulverized peanuts.
Because we have no refrigerator, we let it cool down in the open air because we are now bracing the winter season. It cooled down naturally.
It is my pleasure to share with you my working student who drives my motorcycle from the mountain down to the city. He worked with me since his first year of high school and now he is a 2nd-year college student. He is one of the indigents who are willing to explore the modern life era.
