Think The Guns of Brixton but with a southern accent.
Businesses put on a brazen display of their plywood fetish.
All pretenses of normality hidden behind hurricane proofing.
Voluntary lockdowns unlike anything that came with covid.
There's a buzz in the air, from the drone overhead.
And the local police chopper.
And the state police chopper.
The city does its best to erase the evidence.
Some of it is impossible to hide.
The local protection racket fans the flames with wooden clubs.
Military in the streets makes the ambiance complete!
