Why did the chicken cross the road?

Surprisingly, people don't know how to think about the joke. It's been around so long that people never stop to contemplate it.
The chicken crosses the road to get to the other side - and the other side is the afterlife.
Chickens aren't good at following road rules. Look both ways before crossing the road.
Also, jokes are never good if you have to explain them.
