Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well; I am doing great too. Today, I am here with a new recipe video: chicken biryani.Chicken biryani is a dish that most of us absolutely love. The version featured in today’s recipe was prepared for a grand, festive celebration in our village, where two large pots of chicken biryani were cooked—and it tasted truly extraordinary! People from all walks of life adore chicken biryani, as it brings together a perfect blend of spices, rice, and chicken. It’s easy to see why it’s so popular! Let’s take a look, step by step, at how this recipe was prepared.
ingredients :
➤8 kg of sun-dried rice
➤25 kg of chicken meat
➤A large bowl of ginger paste
➤A large bowl of garlic paste
➤100 grams of cashews
➤A large bottle of tomato sauce
➤Six packets of biryani masala
➤A large bowl of sliced green chilies
➤A large bowl of chopped onions
➤Ten spoonfuls of chili powder
➤Ten spoonfuls of coriander powder
➤8 spoonfuls of turmeric powder
➤500 grams of ghee
➤5 liters of soybean cooking oil
➤10 jugs of water
➤A bowl of ground cumin
➤10–12 bay leaves
➤8–9 cinnamon sticks
➤10–12 cardamom pods
➤Salt to taste
step by step :
In a large pot, sauté chopped onions and slit green chilies for 6–7 minutes until they turn light brown. Then, add ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin paste, biryani masala, tomato sauce, lemon juice, cashews, ghee, turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder, bay leaves, cardamom, cinnamon, and black peppercorns. Mix everything together and sauté well for 10 minutes. Once sautéed, add 25 kg of chicken and cook for another 15–20 minutes. Cover the pot with a lid. When the chicken is cooked through, remove the meat and onions and set them aside in a large bowl. In a separate pot, prepare a similar spice base by sautéing the various spices again; once they are well-cooked, add 8 kg of soaked atap (aromatic short-grain) rice. Stir the rice for 10 minutes, then mix in the cooked chicken and onions. After stirring everything together thoroughly, cover the pot and let it cook for 30 minutes. Once fully cooked, remove from the heat—and there you have it, our chicken biryani recipe!
When you have chicken biryani, you don’t need anything else—it’s a complete meal in itself. A single serving is enough to leave you feeling full, which is why it’s such a popular dish. It is frequently prepared for festive occasions, especially at large weddings, where biryani often takes center stage. The chicken biryani featured today was prepared for an 'Urs' (a religious commemorative gathering) in our village. Along with the chicken biryani, several other dishes were prepared, all of which were truly exceptional. Chicken biryani is a personal favorite; it’s not only delicious but also widely loved by people everywhere—both at home and abroad. While chicken is a common choice, biryani can also be made with beef or mutton. I have tried both beef and mutton biryani in my life, and they are even more flavorful! Do let me know what you think of this recipe. That’s all for today; I’ll be back soon with a new video. Stay healthy and take care, everyone!
