Hello AOA Foodies I am back with another recipe of mine which is full of aroma and spices. It is also called national dish of Pakistan due to it’s popularity among the nation and i think its the most liked dish of the region so lets get started
1 kg chicken
3 cups basmati rice
3–4 tomatoes, sliced
1 large onions
2–3 green chilies
1 cup cooking oil
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1 pack national biryani masala
Whole spices: cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, black pepper & bay leaf for boiling rice
Fresh coriander and mint
yellow food colour, optional
Firstly Fry the onions and Heat the oil in a large pot and fry sliced onions until golden brown and fragrant
Add the chickento the same pot and fry until lightly browned. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a few minutes for better taste then Add tomatoes & national spice packet
Add tomatoes, green chilies, yogurt, biryani masala, well and cook until the tomatoes soften and the oil separates.
In another pot boil water add garam masala and Prepare the rice Boil basmati rice separately with salt and whole spices. Cook until the rice is about 70–80% done, then drain the excess water.Add a layer of rice over the chicken masala. Add the chopped green chillies and fresh coriander
Cover the pot tightly and cook on low heat for 15–20 minutes. This allows the rice to absorb all the delicious flavours. And soften the rice more
Gently mix the layers and serve hot with raita, salad and extra fried onions
Yummy chicken biryani is ready to serve with yummy raita and cold drink. Honestly making biryani is an art which one has to master. And after so many failures ive got this recipe. Do try this one its worth it and let me know about your experience
