Today, I’m going to share my experience of a resort in Skardu that is quite close to my home. If you’re planning to visit Skardu, this can be a really good option for staying, dining, and simply enjoying the beautiful surroundings.
Location
Let’s start with the location. I absolutely loved it! You can see mountains all around the resort, which makes the whole setting really beautiful. It is also relatively close to Sarfaranga and Shigar, so compared to the main Skardu city area, it can be more convenient if you’re planning to explore these sides.
Ambiance & Rooms
The resort has a beautiful lawn and very nice, well-maintained rooms. Everything looked extremely clean and neat. You can tell that proper attention has been given to cleanliness and maintenance—the place definitely hasn’t been neglected and is kept in very good condition.
There is also a proper parking area where you can park your vehicle. And, of course, you can make a reservation if you want to stay overnight.
I didn’t ask about the room charges because the resort is quite close to my home, so I actually visited just to have some tea. 😄
Food Experience
As for the food, we ordered Alfredo pasta, fries, and two soups—one Chicken Corn Soup and one Hot & Sour Soup.
The Hot & Sour Soup was really delicious! The Chicken Corn was just okay. The pasta was good, the fries were good, and the tea was also nice.
The value for money was pretty decent. I felt that the serving sizes were slightly on the smaller side, but overall, considering the views, ambiance, and the overall experience, I think you’re paying for more than just the food—and the setting was genuinely beautiful. ✨
Places to Explore Nearby
Another good thing about this location is that there are several places you can explore nearby. As you continue towards the Hussainabad side, you’ll find the Hussainabad Museum. Further ahead, there’s a beautiful viewpoint, and you can also visit Hussainabad Waterfall, which can be a lovely place to have a picnic with your kids and enjoy some family time.
So, if you’re coming to Skardu and looking for a peaceful, clean, scenic place to stay, Zhule by Roomy is definitely worth considering. The combination of beautiful mountain views, a well-maintained property, greenery, and a relaxing atmosphere makes it a lovely spot to spend some time. 🏔️🌿
And honestly, sometimes it’s the places close to home that we end up discovering and appreciating the most. ❤️

And if we talk about Northern Pakistan at this time of the year, it can actually be a much more affordable time to visit. You can also experience the beautiful autumn season, when the trees and surroundings turn into shades of orange, yellow, and golden, creating absolutely breathtaking views. 🍂💛
Compared to spring and winter, this season can be considerably more budget-friendly. You can often find more affordable resorts, reasonable rates from travel agencies, and comparatively manageable transportation expenses as well.
So if you’re looking for a beautiful northern getaway without spending as much as you might during peak seasons, autumn can be a really good time to plan your trip.
After having our meal and enjoying some soup, we decided to head back home as it was already around 7 PM. By evening, a light breeze had started blowing, which made the sunset view and the overall weather even more beautiful, and the views became even more enjoyable.
One thing I really love about Skardu is how beautiful the sunrises and sunsets are here. Watching the sun rise from behind the mountains and then disappear behind them at sunset is truly something you have to experience.
Another thing is that because the weather here is generally cold, having sunlight and seeing the sun feels like such a blessing. You really appreciate the warmth and light of the sun here.
