A warm day cooking up. There was a plan to go exploring. That did not happen. Got on the bike after lunch to walk in the bush on Seven Mile Beach. Too hot to walk across the exposed section to Comerong Island.
Walked the same slice as last week to seek out chiloglottis orchids. No luck but a few small flowers for show - lobelia
Native violet for my granddaughter Violette - was good to see her yesterday. She just stares and mimics the faces I pull.

First signs of autumn orchids - acianthus leaf forming
Golden top mushroom - also a sign of autumn. And in the corner is another acianthus orchid leaf
Seen a lot of these little pink splashes. Got down low to take a shot. It is a tiny pink pea flower - the size of a match head . Glad I stooped low
A few sizes up is the twining glycine - also a pea flower
And in the same colour up a few sizes - Australian bluebell. Nice to see them fully open
Got a ride in.
Went across to friends for roast chicken dinner. Nice to have a night off.
