One of my favorite dishes is a kind of meatball that I mix with different vegetables, which makes it both tastier and more filling.

We usually eat it either with rice or as a sandwich with bread.

Today we're having it with rice for lunch.

Ingredients:

· 1 medium potato
· 2 medium onions
· A few cloves of garlic
· 2 medium carrots
· Half a bell pepper
· 300 g ground meat
· 300 g ground soy
· 2 eggs

Spices:

· Turmeric, paprika powder, black pepper, and salt — as much as needed

Chop the vegetables into rough pieces and throw them into a food processor or blender so they get fully chopped up.

Then add the meat, soy, and eggs.

Turn the blender on again and mix everything really well until you get a smooth, even mixture.

Shape the mixture with two spoons and fry it in oil.

Once one side of the meatballs is fried, flip them and fry the other side.

Let me tell you, the smell of this food creates such a good vibe in the house. It spreads through your home and even a few houses away, so anyone passing by your place gets tempted to come in and be your guest just to eat something like this 👌🏻☺️

Alright, so once the meatballs are ready, I fried some eggplant, mushrooms, and tomatoes to go with them.

They don't need to be fried too much — just enough to come out of being raw 👍🏻

I soak the rice an hour beforehand, then pour it into a pot of boiling water so it cooks a bit.

Then I drain the partially cooked rice.

Before putting the rice into the pot for the final round of cooking, I lay a few pieces of thin bread at the bottom of the pot, which I've already greased with a bit of oil. We call this "tahchin."

Once the bread is at the bottom, I pour the rice on top of it.

I sprinkle a bit of "cumin" over the rice — do you know what cumin is?

It's a very tiny seed from wild plants that grow in mountainous areas.

Cumin gives the rice a really nice aroma.

It also has some medicinal benefits, actually.

After half an hour, our rice is done, and we can sit down with the family and enjoy our delicious lunch.

I hope you make a dish like this too and enjoy eating it.👌🏻 ☺️😍
