Last Sunday of the month gown outfit design with black floral lace for my mother in-law
Hello everyone
Happy Monday and a beautiful new week to you all on this lovely day, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, we are here again today to share our creative design in this great community and I hope we have a great time with the completion of our project. Today, I will be sharing with you all #needleworkmonday the process of making this beautiful gown outfit design with black floral lace for my mother in-law for Sunday thanksgiving in church.
Some few months ago, my mother in-law was very sick that we had to tak turns in taking care of her afer she was discharged from the hospital, thank God she has fully recovered and decided to go to church on the last Sunday of the month which is also thanksgiving service. I was given this particular fabric some months ago and I decided to make it for my mother in-law to wear to church for the end of the month thanksgiving service.
Thi is a very simple and easy gown which was designed with a black floral lace to give it a beautiful and a stylish outcome.
Join me in the cutting and sewing process of this simple and beautiful gown outfit.
I folded the main fabric in two with the hip circumference measurements of Grandma divide by 4 plus 7" the marked neckline, armhole, waist and hip measurements and it was connected to the full length measurement and it was cut out
The front was placed on another folded fabric to cut out the back part with 1.5" zipper allowance
The front was placed on a folded black floral lace to be sewn at the front
At the full length of the front fabric i marked 10" upward and sew a long floral lace of 4" on it while I also sew another 4" on 3" away from the first design
The back was sewn together with a zipper sewn to the zipper allowance with facing at the neckline
The front and back were sewn together at the shoulder and also on both sides with the seam allowance
Then I proceeded to cut out basic sleeve with the floral lace to design the hem
The sleeves were sewn to the armhole circumference and the hem was folded in and sewn round.
This is the final and beautiful outcome of the gown I made for my mother in-law.
