Hello creative friends

Greetings to you all on this beautiful day in this great community, I hope you are all doing great and having a wonderful time out there with your creativity. It is another day and opportunity for me to share with you today the making of this simple hidden key holder to prevent other items in my bag from scratching. This particular design can be achieve with those pieces of fabric you intend to dispose.

Most of us definitely have one or two keys we go around with and we will need a key holder for safe keeping of those keys, as a lady we usually go out with our hand bags with lots of items in it like phone, wallet, charger and so on, if we have those keys in our bag, it can easily scratch our phone and the other items which can cause damage and other faults to those items. That was what inspired me to make this key holder which can hide the keys when not in use, this is just the perfect key holder for me.

Let's make this simple hidden key holder for your keys

The fiirst step was to draft out the pattern of the key holder on a brown paper as I measured and cut out 5 x 3.5 inches

On the brown paper, I marked 3 inches upward and 0.5 inches away from the middle at the top and connected it to the together

I cut out the line that was connected together and placed it on the main fabric to cut out same shape

I cut out 2 pieces and both were placed together as I folded the bottom in and was sewn together on both sides to the top

It was turned to the right side and set aside then I proceeded to make the rope as I cut out a long bais tape, folded it in two and sew it on both sides while my keys were fixed in it

The rope with the keys was inserted the main fabric and secured together at the top

The bottom was sewn round and I went ahead to cut out a small piece measuring 2 x 4 inches and it was folded in on all sides

I placed the rope in it was used to secure the rough ends of the rope and was sewn round on my sewing machine

To secure the keys, I fixed press button on the small piece and the other side of the main fabric

When drag up, the button will be use to secure the keys and when released, it will drop down for use, the essence of this is to prevent the kids from scratching other items in my bag.

I hope you like the beautiful outcome of my key holder, join me in my next post as I will be sharing with you beautiful craft ideas.

Thanks so much for your time, support, comment and encouragement. Untill my next post, do have a great and productive day.
