It's so nice to be here on this beautiful day in this great community t share with you the making of this simple beautiful gathered pleat gown outfit for my little friend in church with a soft colorful material.
I made this dress with so much love and also to cut cost, my friend who is the mother of my little friend contacted me to make a simple outfit for her daughter jst as I usually do, as little children, they tends to grow rapidly and they outgrown their outfit easily, so I have to be making their outfit often. This was simply designed with a matching color of satin fabric o the waistline just to mak it look nice.
From the fabric I was given, I measured the waist circumference and multiply it by 3 before it was cut out with the full length measurements from the waist line down to the desired full length and it was gathered together to the exact waist circumference measurements plus zipper allowance.
It was set aside and I went ahead to cut the upper bodice with the upper bodice measurements, the front and back were cut out using a basic bodice pattern with zipper allowance at the back
I used the upper bodice to cut out lining to turn the neckline and both sides as well for neat finishing
The front and back were sewn together at the shoulder and also with the side seam allowance, then I sew a satin materrial at the waist line just to add a simple design to the outcome
Then the gathered pleat that was set aside was sewn to the half length to make a full gown with the sleeves sewn to the armhole circumference
This was well appreciate an looks nice on my little friend.
