RE: My Best or Not My Best? That's the question...
Hmmmmmmmm. One of my heroes didn't have wedding cake, they had pie. Lots and lots of wonderful pies. Take that cake eaters! It seems to have worked out for them. Summer, the partial result of that pie

RE: Obscene by Nature
Wolves sink their teeth in and drag the carcass to open it up. Cats use their teeth and claws to cut their way in. I've seen coyote and wolf kills, this looks too 'peaceful' to me. I think the Lynx is

RE: Obscene by Nature
No obviously broken limbs. Cars tend to leave broken legs. Not much blood, canines tend to drag and tear. Cats tend to eat and run. I'm not so sure about Lynx but Cougars will bury a carcass after initial

RE: What Is Red, Fast and Mine?
Damn. I knew a long rider from Brazil-or more correctly I knew of him. A doctor that was riding a Honda ST when I got to talk to him. It'll take me some time to remember his name. I'm old.

It seems I generally get frowned at or worse when I check out that perspective. Nice pearls, too.

RE: End of Sight
First off: I'm a certified fat boy, more than 10% over my ideal body weight. Not listed as obese (though I've been as much as 20% over) I fight a never ending struggle with weight. That started when I

RE: Chili Verde Columbus, OH: Feels like the first time
One more thing. New Mexico (the state) has a huge Navajo/Apache influence in their cuisine generally that I really like. You've never had a Navajo Taco until you've eaten at the place next to the radio

YES! One of my favorites here is based out of a travel trailer. All service is outside :) One of my past favs was 'the Purple Store'. I tend toward 'Mom and Pop' restaurants where ever I am.

I read the headline and looked at the photo and thought "That's chili rojo not chili verde." Then I got into the article far enough to realize it's the name of the restaurant. :) There really

RE: Day in, Day out
Anyone that thinks the news media is about anything but selling advertising is naïve at the very best. MSNBC or CNN or Fox don't give two shits about your need to know or reporting a story in a fair and

I can tell right now that I love the recipe because it's damn close to mine. Except I'm going to tell you my momma's secret. You can use it or don't. Pork Sausage. 1/3 pork 2/3 hamburger. Since I'm a simpleton

RE: Savings for the Bear
Woe is me. Woe is us. Woe to everybody. Or not. It's a strategy I hadn't considered, probably because I don't really care. I mean, of course I care, but the price today and last month and next month doesn't

RE: The Bridges of Gila River
It's pretty wintry everyplace but right here, so I think it's safe to assume that I'll be showing some 'local' highlights :) I told you I saw the bones of a shed and garage-There's more there, a stretch

The bridge looks clunky and small now, but when it was built it was an absolute marvel of engineering. The movie and the bridge both make me wonder 'what if?'

RE: The Bridges of Gila River
It's not as bad as it sounds, due to circumstances. The Gila runs into the Colorado right near downtown Yuma. The water flow to Mexico is a treaty item so any excess from the Gila would simply flow to

I can't believe they tried to run traffic just in front of the dam. What could go wrong? This bridge was entirely built at the factory in Topeka then assembled on site. It's still pretty solid. The first

RE: Wednesday Walk - A Vintage Inspired Video of My Neighbourhood
How cool! A great walk for whatever day. Was that a bottle brush tree? I have one in my backyard. I've never thought of the kitties Sam and I pass every day. Sam doesn't like kitties very much and trusts
