Wolves sink their teeth in and drag the carcass to open it up. Cats use their teeth and claws to cut their way in. I've seen coyote and wolf kills, this looks too 'peaceful' to me.

I think the Lynx is the best possibility. There was a video of a Bobcat walking a fence here in my neighborhood. I'd have not believed it if I hadn't seen the video.

On a very slightly related note, there is a movement afoot to reintroduce Jaguar around San Francisco. I've talked to two people I believe that have sighted Jaguar just south of here and a couple times a year border cameras catch Jaguar heading north. It's a stretch, but possible that they could be reintroduced. The wolf reintroduction in SE AZ has been successful. I've never seen one but I've damn sure heard them...
