Woe is me. Woe is us. Woe to everybody. Or not.
It's a strategy I hadn't considered, probably because I don't really care. I mean, of course I care, but the price today and last month and next month doesn't have much effect on me. It's not why I'm here.
The savings rate is at least as good as anything available in the fiat world that is relatively certain. That is that HBD is going to be within 10% of $1.00 so relatively certain is the working term.
My brother, the crypto scoffer brother, asked me the other day what my 4 year ROI was (it was within a day of my 4th anniversary). I wasn't on my computer so did a little ballpark figuring and came up with 150% (40% per year MOL). He knew it was time to start talking about something else :) I was a little light, but it was a legitimate educated guess. That is to USD-it's better against BTC.
So all in all it's been good. I really don't see any reason why it won't remain good in the long term. And what the hell, I've got my new motorcycle which would have been the only possible reason for me to sell some :)
