First power up of the new year

Happy New Year, yup in the blink of an eye we've leapt from 2024 to 2023, I mistakenly said 2023 instead of 2024 a couple of times already, I guess I still need to adjust mentally. During some time within the early hours of yesterday and today, I already did a rather quick overall reflection on how the year was for me. But then I realized I didn't really talk about my hive account growth so I'll do a little of that and of course, since it's power-up day it wouldn't be complete without a power-up.

I looked back at my first power-up day post of last year and I smiled. I have had a lot of growth since then. But then, I looked back at my post where I outlined my hive goals for the year and then I frowned a bit. I wasn't able to successfully achieve even a single one. I was close to achieving all of them though, so I'm not too sad, but it's still a bit painful that I didn't achieve them because I know they are quite achievable. Anyway, I won't let that weigh me down. It was a great year of growth nonetheless. Started with 2,102 HP and ended with 3,758 HP, I did drop on my HBD savings, but for good reason, I had to get another PC after the old one had a major issue. The new PC is steadily repaying its purchase price (if it hasn't already). I started on 68 rep and ended on 70.65 rep, I was quite close to actually doubling my comment count, I didn't get serious with any blockchain game though. I'd say I grew quite well despite the numerous lapses I had all through the year. Anyway, enough with the past and on to the present

MY POWERUP

Since it is the first day of the new year, I decided I'd do a bigger power-up because I have some spare hive. So this month I powered up 100 hive

Now I moved my hive power from 3,758 to 3,858. I'm hoping I can hit the 4k mark as soon as possible if I can be consistent.

Receiving 1.776 HBD from savings reminded me that I was yet to get my HBD savings back to where it needed to be

And so I decided to move 5 HBD to savings

It's not much but then raindrops make the ocean so it is always good to keep adding little by little and soon I'll get my HBD back to where it ought to be. For now, I have 166.903 HBD in savings.

I have a good feeling about this year, I am hoping at the end of it I can come back to this post and smile. But then that's going to take a lot of dedication on my part, I am hoping I can do it. Wishing you readers an amazing year.
