Hello everyone, how are you all? I hope you're doing fine. I am doing well too but it's been a busy week sadly. But I feel happy today because it's September 1, 2026. It's the day of Hive Power Up. August 1 was my first hpud and September 1 is the second hpud. It does feel different because this time, I know everything about it which I needed to know. When I did my first HPUD last month, I didn't really know how it would feel to participate in something like this. My niece had mentioned it to me which got me interested and I wanted to try it.
I started to notice my KE started to go down as I powered up. Before, I only focused of saving Hives in HBD but now I also think about the HIVE as staking which is much beneficial. I had started to stake 1 Hive each day and share my transaction on waves and snaps. So, I already staked enough to decrease my KE. Right now my KE is 1.79 and before it was above 1.94. You can already notice the differences. It definitely feels like I am slowly building something instead of just keeping everything in one place. At first I thought I might forget about it after a few days because sometimes I get busy and don't login to Hive regularly. But somehow I kept coming back to it. Some days I remembered it immediately and some days I remembered later, but I still tried to keep going.
That is why today's HPUD feels more meaningful to me. Last month I was simply starting, but this month I can actually see that I continued. This month I decided to power up 10 HIVE again. I believe the real thing is that if we come back and do the same work again or not. That's why I am actually more happy about my second HPUD than my first one.
My first HPUD was a beginning. My second HPUD feels like proof that I didn't forget about that beginning. I also don't want to make Hive Power something that I only think about on HPUD. I want it to grow slowly in the background while I continue posting, reading other people's posts and being active in the community. There are days when the rewards are good and there are days when they are not. There are also times when the price of HIVE goes up and down. But if I only stay active when everything looks good, then I don't think I am really building anything. I would rather keep going even when the progress looks slow.
Maybe one month I will look at my account and realize that all these small power ups have added up to something I never expected. Last month I was excited to say that I had participated in my first HPUD. Today I am happy that I can say I participated in my second one. I may increase the number of Hive Power up within a few months but there's no guarantee when that will be. But I have the desire to increase the amount so maybe in next one year or two years.
Maybe that is what I like about powering up. You don't have to become a big account overnight. You can just keep adding a little whenever you can and let time do the rest. So this is my second HPUD. One month has passed since my first power up and I am still here. I hope when September comes to an end, I can look back and say that I continued my daily power ups and made another small progress. And hopefully next month, I will be writing my third HPUD post.
