I wasn't sure I'd be writing this post, but then I have a little time and I decided it wouldn't be nice not to at least talk about this year in general even though it is a little.
We're currently just in the new year over here, but the hive blockchain uses Utc time so it's still 2023 on it, lol. Where do I even start? This year was a roller-coaster ride, yeah, I think that's a good description. This year I smiled, I laughed, I cried, I was extremely happy, felt hate, felt anger both at myself and felt loved, loved, and everything in between. Ultimately it was filled with a lot more joyous moments and for that I am grateful.
It was a learning year for me that's for sure. I learnt a lot of things from this year.
I learnt to persevere. The year threw a lot at me right from the start, knocked me down a few times but I kept standing up and trying again, and each time it led to better results than the first time. I learnt that giving up was never going to be the option and the only way forward was to face my challenges head on.
I learnt that I can't do it all. There were so many things I planned on doing at the start of the year, so optimistic I was. But when the year started I started to see that there was no way I could do everything I set out to do and live. I had to cut things that I saw could be done at a later date and focus on the major ones first.
I learnt that family will always come through for you. And by this I don't just mean your biological family, but the people you have become so close to that you can consider yourself family. Time and time again they showed up for me even when I didn't expect it. I was privileged to create a little online village, and I saw first hand the strength in numbers. We lifted each other time and time again and ultimately we were a lot better together than apart. I learnt to appreciate all the people I call my family even more. And I am hoping we can continue to be family next year.
All in all the year 2023 has been a memorable one, and some of the things that have happened I am sure I will never forget in my life. I wish I could really go deep into some of those things, but right now it's the time to celebrate, see you around on the blockchain. And happy new year
