Beauty is a valuable art, in fact humans really like beauty. Just like decorate a cake, those of us who see it will really appreciate the difficulty of make the cake and it's a shame to eat it. Have you ever experience it?

I'm not an expert on cooking something food or decorating cakes, but I'm someone who likes the beauty of food plating. Plating is how the food is valued and loved. That's why I like to take pictures of the food I make very well, even if it's not as good as someone who is an expert chef

Not so with the dessert this time, I really like to combine desserts with beautiful shapes. You know that dessert is a food that can only be tasted a little, so the shape is the most important thing to make it more meaningful. So, if we taste dessert at a restaurant or cafe, it will really attract attention in terms of plating and beauty when served.

Layer cake, one of the beautiful desserts originating from Indonesia. I thought this dessert was a simple dish, made from simple ingredients and served simply. It's just that layer cake has a unique color that makes this dessert attractive to look at because it's layered with colors. But, usually layer cakes are made with simple, rectangular and ordinary molds, this time I'm going to make them extraordinary.

Even though it is simple, this food is very good to eat, with its unique sweet and slightly sticky taste. If you've ever eaten papare cake or mochi, this food is similar to that, but different from the layer cake which doesn't have any toppings in it.

The following are the ingredients needed to make the sun flower layer cake. I named it because it looks like a wide and big sun flower, just like a sun flower.

Ingredients;

• 100 gr of flour
• 50 gr tapioca flour
• 50 gr sugar
• 1 pack of instant coconut milk with 60 ml
• Vanilla extract
• Yellow and purple food coloring
• Pinch of salt

How to Make a Sun Flower Layer Cake;

• Instant coconut milk that has been opened from the seal, then mixed with 100 ml of water, until the total is 160 ml. then put into a bowl or pan, then heat over low heat. While stirring with a spatula.

• Weigh and sift the flour and tapioca flour, then add salt and sugar into a bowl. Stir until well mixed. Slowly carefully add the heated coconut milk, while stirring so that everything is well blended.

• After all is done, strain and pour the ingredients into 2 parts, strain so the flour doesn't get lumpy. Then add food coloring that is safe to eat. After that, grease a silicone pan with a little oil so that the cake layer is not sticky and easy to remove from the pan.

• Heat the steamer, then put the pan into it. Take a little purple dough and pour it right in the middle of the pan. After that, close the steamer lid tightly for 1 minute until the first layer is perfectly cooked.

• Take 30 ml of the yellow mixture, then pour it over the first layer, close the steamer for 3 minutes, repeat with a different color. Repeat until all the batter is used.

• After the layering is complete, heat the dough for 10 minutes so that everything hardens perfectly. When finished, remove the dough and let it cool so it can be served.

• After it's cold, you can separate the baking sheet from the cake layer. Layer cake is ready to be served and eaten.
