Today I made donuts for my children's snack, but I wanted to make a different topping than sprinkles or nuts because I almost always make them that way and I remembered the Flips cereal that my children love with all my heart and I thought that with a melted chocolate topping it would be dreamy. I got down to work to prepare the donuts, but as soon as they saw the Flips packaging I had to make a great effort not to open the package and finish the dessert, because their begging looks were almost convincing me. But without further distraction I give you the list of ingredients for these wonderful donuts.	El día de hoy hice donas para la merienda de mis niños, pero quería hacerles un toping diferente a las chispas o frutos secos porque casi siempre se las hago de así y se me acordé del cereal Flips que mis niños aman con todo el corazón y me pareció que con una cobertura de chocolate derretido quedaría de ensueño. Me puse manos a la obra a preparar las donas, pero apenas me vieron el empaque de Flips tuve que hacer un gran esfuerzo para no abrirles el paquete y poder terminar el postre, pues las miradas suplicantes casi estaban con convencerme. Pero sin más distracción les doy la lista de ingredientes para estás maravillosas donas.

El día de hoy hice donas para la merienda de mis niños, pero quería hacerles un toping diferente a las chispas o frutos secos porque casi siempre se las hago de así y se me acordé del cereal Flips que mis niños aman con todo el corazón y me pareció que con una cobertura de chocolate derretido quedaría de ensueño. Me puse manos a la obra a preparar las donas, pero apenas me vieron el empaque de Flips tuve que hacer un gran esfuerzo para no abrirles el paquete y poder terminar el postre, pues las miradas suplicantes casi estaban con convencerme. Pero sin más distracción les doy la lista de ingredientes para estás maravillosas donas.

Ingredients:
400 grams of wheat flour
1 tablespoon of dry yeast.
1 egg
2 tablespoons sugar.
1/2 teaspoon salt.
1/2 glass of warm milk.
1 medium bag of Flips cereal.
50 grams of semi bitter chocolate.
Oil for frying.

Ingredientes:

400 gramos de harina de trigo
1 cucharada de levadura seca.
1 huevo
2 cucharadas de azúcar.
1/2 cucharadita de sal.
1/2 vaso de leche tibia.
1 bolsa mediana de cereal Flips.
50 gramos de chocolate semi amargo.
Aceite para freír.

First Step	Primer Paso
Let's prepare the dough for the donuts, for this we are going to place the wheat flour in a container to knead, the dry yeast, the salt and the sugar, we mix with a spoon to distribute the yeast well. Then we open a hole in the center and pour in the whole egg and the liquid milk. With the help of a spoon we begin to integrate from the inside out forming a ball. When we have integrated most of the flour, we transfer the dough to a table and knead for about 10 minutes or until the dough is smooth. We let it rest for 20 minutes covered with a damp cloth.	Preparemos la masa para las donas, para esto vamos a colocar la harina de trigo en un envase para amasar, la levadura seca, la sal y el azúcar, mezclamos con una cuchara para distribuir bien la levadura. Luego abrimos un hoyo en el centro y vertemos en el el huevo completo y la leche líquida. Con la ayuda de una cuchara empezamos a integrar de adentro hacia afuera formando una bola. Cuando hayamos integrado la mayor cantidad de harina pasamos la masa a una mesa y amasamos durante 10 minutos aproximadamente o hasta notar que la masa esté lisa. La dejamos reposar por 20 minutos tapada con un paño húmedo.

Preparemos la masa para las donas, para esto vamos a colocar la harina de trigo en un envase para amasar, la levadura seca, la sal y el azúcar, mezclamos con una cuchara para distribuir bien la levadura. Luego abrimos un hoyo en el centro y vertemos en el el huevo completo y la leche líquida. Con la ayuda de una cuchara empezamos a integrar de adentro hacia afuera formando una bola. Cuando hayamos integrado la mayor cantidad de harina pasamos la masa a una mesa y amasamos durante 10 minutos aproximadamente o hasta notar que la masa esté lisa. La dejamos reposar por 20 minutos tapada con un paño húmedo.

Second Step	Segundo Paso
After this time we pass the dough to the table and we extend it with the help of our hands until it has a thickness of approximately 1/2 centimeter. With a cutter we make discs and a hole in the center. Let it rest for 5 minutes and heat a frying pan with oil to fry the donuts. Fry them two by two to get a uniform browning.	Pasado el tiempo pasamos la masa a las mesa y la extendemos con la ayuda de las manos hasta que tenga un grosor de 1/2 centímetro aproximadamente. Con un cortador hacemos discos un disco y un agujero en el centro. Dejamos reposar 5 minutos y calentamos un sartén con aceite para freír las donas. Las freímos de dos en dos para conseguir un dorado uniforme.

Third Step	Tercer Paso
Once we have finished frying all the donuts, we melt the chocolate in a bain-marie and we pass the donuts one by one through the chocolate and then we place the Flips cereal that we have cut thickly with a knife.	Unas vez hemos terminado de freír todas las donas colocamos a derretir el chocolate a baño María y pasamos las donas una a una por el chocolate y luego colocamos cereal Flips que hemos cortado a modo groso con un cuchillo.


In these very simple steps we have a dessert that combines two excellent flavors and textures. It was worth the wait because both my children enjoyed some very special donuts and I enjoyed watching them eat with so much excitement. I hope you like my contribution. Bye Bye.
