Hey everyone! This is slightly different from my usual 'analysis articles.' Today, I want to share some of my art with you. Usually, I draw simple and slick designs with thick lines and limited colors - but I occasionally dabble in making digital paintings in my trademark simple style.
The first one is 'Moonlit Tower,' a painting I made for my mother:
My mother and I both love fantasy and moonlight scenes, so I based this drawing on that.
The second one is a Halloween painting:
I wanted to try something different from the usual pumpkins and orange colors, so I went with a ghost ship for that occasion.
The third one is a special autumn painting I made.
I noticed I was doing a lot of drawings with colder color schemes, so I experimented with warmer colors and a cosy atmosphere while maintaining that sense of mystery.
I wanted to find a middle road between those two atmospheres, so I made a painting titled 'The Lonely Cottage':
A mysterious figure standing in an otherwise cosy and welcoming doorway - I really loved the contrast both in color and theme, so that's what I was going for.
I wanted to try something completely different for the next Halloween - something involving a creature design - so I made 'The Halloween Serpent':
I used a daring color scheme with purples and yellows to illustrate the story of a sea serpent delivering Halloween decorations to the people.
Lastly, I made a Christmas illustration combining what I had learned in a prior year:
And that was my most recent piece! What do you think, have I improved? Which piece do you like the most?
