My main medium for now is acrylic paint but they take so much preparation (wet palette, color mixing, maintenance) that sometimes it makes me not want to draw or paint. I like to use affordable studio oil pastels just to draw whenever I am bored and didn't wanna do screen time. :D
This one is from Film Grab but I forgot from which movie this was and I didn't save it. I like to try some colors without a big commitment so the color selection in this wasn't really well thought out lol. But it looks okay I guess.
I'm not very perfectionist on the details or faces, I'm more of a perfectionist in my ideals or going through with what I had planned in my mind. Having these low commitment drawings in a cheap sketchbook removes all those worries.
This is another quick color and abstract study. I tend to spam colors with all vivid ones before so they all end up fighting against each other but now I'm training myself to 'calm down' and be intentional with the colors. A dull green will look good with vivid red and this applies to all colors.
This one I believe was inspired by one of the sunset scenes that I saw in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced game. Pink and purples with oranges are so awesome.
It's interesting how having those dull greens in between vivid yellows and blue made the whole work look muddy... Even though there was little to no blending that happened there. This is what the impressionists was doing. Your eyes blend the colors even though the colors are just beside each other.
This was also from a movie scene but I just don't remember where cos I used the 'random post' on Film Grab. :D
This one is from a landscape photo and I was just playing with the colors. I wanted to be random and new with the colors but it ended up looking like my previous big painting. I guess your style will still show up despite you wanting to make it completely different.
