Description of preparation:
In Japan, this soup is cooked for Breakfast and throughout the day. This is a traditional Japanese dish, easy and quick to prepare. In used as the basis of Dashi, the traditional Japanese soup that comes in a liquid concentrate, powder or granules.
Ingredients:
Dasi - 1.5 teaspoons.
Miso 0.5 Cup (white soybean paste).
Tofu - 0.5 cups (cut into cubes).
Green onion - 2 tbsp (finely chopped).
Water - 4 cups.
Seaweed - 1 tablespoon (dry seaweed is suitable for miso soup).
Number of servings: 4
How to cook:
Pour water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Add Dashi granules and stir until smooth.
Switch the stove on medium heat and add in the tofu soup.
In dried seaweed add a little water and wait until they are melted. Squeeze out excess water and add seaweed to the pot of soup. Simmer for 2 minutes.
Put in a bowl of miso paste. Scoop half a ladle of the Dashi broth and add to the bowl with the miso. Stir the broth with the paste until smooth.
Turn off the heat, add the miso paste into the broth and mix well. Before serving, garnish the dish with chopped green onions.
