馃弸鈥嶁檧Posture Matters馃弸鈥嶁檪
Forward rolled shoulders are commonly associated with anterior shoulder pain, poor breathing pattern and headaches 馃槆 a long poor posture can lead to "upper cross syndrome" which is a condition where the upper trapezius and pectoralis muscules are over tight associated under active lower/middle traps and serratus anterior. Over time this can lead to impingement馃敧 within the shoulder. Loss of diaphragmatic breathing and tension type headaches馃拤
It is crucial that this is addressed in athletes who do lots of overhead movement and in the bench press, as forward rolled shoulders leads to poor upper body control and it will affect an individuals techniques..
