📷 Wertheim on the Main Powdered Part 1 🏰

Hallo liebe Freunde,

ich hatte mir seit langem mal wieder richtige Schneelandschaften in meiner Heimatstadt Wertheim gewünscht. Das schneeschippen ist zwar nicht so toll, aber da der letzte richtige Schnee in Wertheim 2012 gefallen war, und ich somit lange auf dieses Ereignis warten musste, ist die Freude bei mir nun groß, Wertheim endlich mal "gepudert" fotografieren zu können.

I had wished for a long time again real snow landscapes in my hometown Wertheim. The snow shoveling is not so great, but since the last real snow in Wertheim had fallen in 2012, and I thus had to wait a long time for this event, the joy is now great with me, Wertheim finally times "powdered" to photograph.

Das malerische Wertheim am Tauberufer macht zu jeder Jahreszeit eine gute Figur, oder nicht?

Picturesque Wertheim on the banks of the Tauber cuts a fine figure at any time of year, doesn't it?

Zusätzlich können wir noch die Restauswirkungen des Hochwassers bestaunen. Hier ein Vergleich der Mündung der Tauber in den Main.

In addition, we can still marvel at the residual effects of the flood. Here is a comparison of the mouth of the Tauber into the Main.

Der Radweg am Main ist noch unter Wasser. Hier hat sich eine richtig surreal anmutende Szenerie gebildet.

The bike path along the Main River is still under water. A really surreal scenery has formed here.

Eine ganz besondere Zugbrücke ist das sogenannte "Messebrückle". Früher musste es immer abgebaut werden. Heute wird es einfach hochgezogen. Da ist noch viel Luft, wie man sieht. Auf dem mitteleren Bild sieht man allerdings, daß das Hotel Kette den vollgelaufenen Keller leer pumpen muß.

A very special drawbridge is the so-called "Messebrückle". In the past, it always had to be dismantled. Today it is simply pulled up. There is still a lot of air, as you can see. In the middle picture, however, you can see that Hotel Kette has to pump out the full basement.
