Hi everyone!
I want to share this photo for the #animalphotography!
Goat-cross breed Anglo Nubian
(Meet my Doe Goat at home)
She’s now 3 years old. The Food and Agriculture Organization gave this Goat as a animal dispersal program that they had during thier humanitarian mission for the Typhoon Haiyan(Yolanda) in Philippines.
This program aims to help coconut farmers know the integrated farming technology. An integration of livestock in the coconut land would result to additional income to the farmer. In our barangay we were 8 who were chosen by the FAO as beneficiaries of the said animal dispersal program. Each of as were given 3 does that would be 24 and additional 1buck for the whole group.
Currently the project is on going. The project help our local breed of goats improve by crossbreed great the Anglo Nubian Buck with our local native does. It improves the sizes of goats indication of good profit for the farmers in the future.
I appreciate Programs that is sustainable and beneficial to the recipient such like this. Until today the Goat dispersal is continually a big help to the farmers by providing him additional income in our place!a big help indeed!
