Goats certainly are interesting critters!😇
Here……let me shut the gate and share a little bit about Goats!☺️
Alice and Dave Wiggins always host our Church’s picnic. Last Sunday, after enjoying some good food, and good company, Silvertop and Liz headed over to see Alice’s Goats!😊
Alice has well over a dozen goats, several of which are pregnant!
Seeing Alice’s Goats always brings back memories of “Mocha”!😍
Back when we were living in the High Country of Colorado, Liz found someone selling baby Nubian Goats…………
It was almost a four-wheel-drive road, and Silvertop seemed to be driving for miles into the sagebrush Hills!
We finally arrived at our destination, a small off grid home.
A Father and daughter came out to greet us, and the little girl was clutching a tiny Nubian Goat in her arms……………..
“Her name is “Mocha” she stated, clutching the baby Goat even tighter!😮
“Can Mocha come live with us, Liz stated.”🥰
It actually took a bit of persuading from her father before the little girl was OK with handing the baby Nubian to Liz!😍
Mocha became one of our family’s pets, and even came inside as a baby with diapers on!🤣
Just check out the second last photo, and you can see our youngest son as a child with mocha in our living room in diapers!😇
Mocha followed us to the Northwest, and contracted a virus that was locally in the soil.
At one point, they declared her officially dead…….. only to completely recover and live many happy years afterwards!🤗
Mocha finally passed away, and is buried in our forest………. She is still missed by the family!😍
