Todays battle was very good and interesting. The reason was that there were several rule sets and they were confusing too. Some of them had restrictions which adds further in your confusion.
This is a very important point that your deck should have all types of attacks whether it is magic, ranged or melee attacks because some rule sets allow you to use only one type of attack.
For example in todays battle I was only allowed to choose magic attackers. My other attackers such as melee and ranged were disabled and I was not allowed to use them.
In these situations if there are no good magic attackers in your deck then it becomes very difficult to win the battle. If you do not have good magic attackers this type of battle can become very challenging for you.
Now let’s first see what the three rule sets were and then we will see what my strategy was for these rule sets and what strategy I used.
The first rule set was Fog of War. This means that all units whether they belong to the enemy or your own team lose the Sneak, Snipe and Opportunity abilities. If a unit has any of these three abilities they become useless in this rule set.
So you should keep in mind that under this rule set you should not give too much preference to monsters with these abilities because their abilities are disabled. Therefore my strategy for this rule set was to focus more on power and health instead of abilities so that I could select better units.
What was the second rule set? It was Wands Out. This means that you can only summon magic attackers. As I mentioned above if your deck does not have magic attackers this rule set can create a lot of problems for you.
It is important that your deck contains different types of attack cards because this rule set can especially put you in a difficult situation. Therefore my strategy was to select only magic attackers and choose the better ones.
The third rule set was Lost Legendaries which means that you cannot summon any Legendary units. Here you can only select Wild and Rebellion monster cards and use them against your opponent. Legendary units are disabled in this rule set.
As I said these three rule sets brought a lot of restrictions for me regarding which monsters I could select and what strategy I could use.
There were not many good magic cards in my deck. I was only allowed to use two magic attackers and I also had one Archon available that was not a Legendary unit.
What did I do? I selected my Archon with the +1 health Ability which gave additional health so that the two units I selected could each receive one extra health. If I had more magic attackers available I would have had more options. But because my cards were not very good I was forced to select only two magic attackers.
In the first position I placed Time Bandit which has good health and can be used as a strong frontline monster. It also has one magic attack and 7 health power.
My second unit also had four health and one magic attack power. This was basically my short selection for this battle.
But when the battle started I saw that the enemy had selected their units very well. If we look at the power they had four magic attack power while my team had only two magic attack power. At that point I understood that I was probably going to lose this battle.
The battle lasted for seven rounds. At the beginning there was a good attack from both sides but as I said the enemy's units had much more attack power and I was not able to eliminate even a single enemy unit.
As a result I lost this battle.
The biggest problem was not my strategy. I think my strategy was correct. I had plan to selec my Archon with the magic related ability and selected the best magic power that I had available. The real problem was that I did not have good magic attacker monster cards in my deck. Because of this I lost the battle.
The main point of this battle is that if possible you should keep different types of monster cards in your deck because sometimes a rule set comes that forces you to select only certain types of cards. If you do not have good cards for that situation you may be forced to select weak cards and lose the battle.
So when these kinds of rule sets come up what strategy do you use and what monster cards do you keep in your deck so that you can survive and win these difficult battles? Will be glad to see your answers in the comment section.
