A Perfect Destination Wedding

The wedding was amazing. The ceremony was short but very well done. The priest traveled with the couple from their home in America, across the Atlantic, to the destination wedding of their dream. It was dreamy indeed; in a venue tucked away in the hilly countryside of Tuscany, Italy.

The reception and after party were also very compact but high quality. The food was exquisite with a local menu. Apparently the wine was superb. I wouldn't know since I don't drink. I wouldn't be surprised though. The Tuscany region itself is full of vineyard farms producing some of the the world's best wine.

The weather wasn't as hot as it'd been in the past days, even though it was still quite hot, in addition to the fact that we were at a higher altitude surrounded by lush woods and green nature. It was perfect. Most of it happened outdoors. Even the indoors bit was really outdoors since there was no roof - just the open sky.

The sound of birds chirping soon gave way to the sound of insects. It was like they took it in shifts. The DJ, who also came with the couple from home, was one of the best I'd ever seen. He played some great music, and musical instruments at the same time.

They also had an all-you-can-eat gelato stand. It's hard to beat the stuff I had in Rome, but I'll take any good gelato I can find - even in England :)
