Is a very good and wonderful experience that I had the very first day of my stay on the village. Yesterday I made a post of how I travelled from the north down to the eastern part of Nigeria. A journey of about seven hours on the road in a stretch. Thank God for journey mercy and the wonderful people I met in the village. We last saw each other four years back. I am happy that I made this August journey in the month of August.
To my surprise, one of the special thing that happened is for a scorpion to always welcome me the same faithful day.
We were still celebrating and rejoicing with my people who came to the house to give me a special and warm welcome. But I saw something moving in the wall. When I looked towards that direction, I noticed that it was bigger than expected. At first I thought it was a fly because it was already night, but when I got closer I was shocked to see that it was not a fly, but a very big scorpion. I have been seeing scorpion but not as big as the one I saw that night.
The celebration was cut short when I raised the alarm that a scorpion has come to give me a warm welcome too. I couldn't even move closer, but I manage to pick my phone and quickly take a picture to see what it looks like. I was afraid because I have not seeing that kind of big scorpion in a while. After the picture, I quickly took off my shoes and used it to smash it to death. All through that night, I kept looking everywhere and every directions to see if there are other ones hidden somewhere.
Our people say that once bitten twice shy. The first time I was bitten by a very tiny scorpion, I cried for hours and the pains kept increasing until I went to the hospital in the middle of the night, since then, any where I see a scorpion, I will kill it immediately because I don't want history to repeat itself.
Thanks be to God who made it possible for me to see the scorpion before it is too late.
The image that I used in this post belongs to me.
Thanks and God bless you.
