It is a beautiful day and I wish you all a productive day as you all engaged in your daily endeavors, it is so nice to be here in this great community to share with you tutorial on how I made a simple and beautiful sunflower wrist band using scrap fabric.
Do you know that there is a lot you can do with your scrap fabric? Let me show you how i creatively designed this beautiful sunflower band as an accessory, this can be made for children and adults just as a gift and it will well appreciated, you can see how beautiful it looks on my wrist after the successful completion of project.
First was to make the make the wrist band itself before the sunflower to decorate it, to make the wrist band, I measured my wrist and added 1.5" it was measured and cut out on a fabric ( 6.5 +1.5=8) and I have 8x4"
It was folded in two a sewn round on my sewing machine leaving an opening at middle where it can be turned to the right side
It was turned to the right side through the opening and top stitched round for neat finishing
I measured 1.5" and fixed a pressing button on it and it was placed on my wrist to know where to fix the hook and the hook was fixed at the appropriate side
For the sunflower, I cut out 6 circles with the diameter of 2.5" from a yellow satin just as a sunflower color
Each of the circle was folded in two and secured with pin
Each piece was folded in half again and secured with pin as well
Then I used my hand needle and thread to run a long stitch on all the pieces of yellow fabric I made and it was gathered together
To cover the rough part at the middle, I placed a silver applique on it with a glue
Finally, the fabric sunflower was placed on the wrist band with B-6000 glue to make it firm and you can see how beautiful this is.
It was placed on my wrist and this is the final and beautiful outcome of my fabric sunflower wrist band I made from scrap fabric.
I hope you like the beautiful outcome, you can make this as a gift for your friends and love ones.
