Greetings to you all on this beautiful day, I hope you are all doing great ad having great time out there with your creativity and daily endeavors, I wish you success in whatever you set out to do today. It is my pleasure to share with you today the making of this simple pot holder I made with the combination of two colors of scraps fabric to reeplace the old one I had and I hope you like the beautiful outcome.
Don't be surprised when I come here to share with you different pot holder I made for myself, it is not my fault that I had to make this to replace each one whenever the one I made got burnt, I'm in a community where I had to use charcoal to cook and when using my pot holder, it can easily get burnt and I have to replace it. Sometimes ago, I made one which just got burnt so I decided to make another one with a different design and this is it. Most times when friends comes visiting, they do appreciate my pot holder and demand for theirs, I'm sure someone will definitely want this design as well.
From my scrap fabric bag, I picked up two pieces of fabric of different colors, I measured and cut out 2 pieces from one of the fabric measuring 7 x 7 inches
I placed one of the pieces on a plain fabric and cut out same shape
I folded the plain fabric in a triangular shape and placed it on one of the two pieces with interfacing ironed on the wrong side
For the handle, I measured and cut out a small piece measuring 1.5 x 4 inches, i was folded and sewn on both sides
Then I placed it on one side of the fabric and I placed the last piece of fabric on it right side to right side and it was secured with a pin
It was taken to my sewing machine and I sew it round, leaving an opening where it can be turned to the right side
It was turned to the right side through the opening I left and it was top stitched round
This is the final outcome of my simple fabric pot holder made from scrap fabric with the back view
