Beer Tasting Royal Helles and Kelt 10%

Hello, beer lovers! 🍻

I'm back home again. The ten days of lazing around on the island have gone by in a flash, and I had a few things to do today. First, my wife and I went to look at the field, and then I changed the speakers in the studio.
So, with the new studio speakers, I'm listening to music and tasting beers for 370 #beersaturday!

Two chilled cans, one Hungarian and one Slovak, and the new Kurzweil KS40A studio speakers are waiting. We'll see what happens.

🍻 😎 🍻

Royal Helles

Brewed by Pécsi Sörfözde, Pécs, Hungary.
Can, 0.5 l, alcohol 4.0% ABV, IBU N/A.
It's lager-style and has a neutral grainy flavor and less bitterness.

What do the Master Brewers say?

Can & bottle: Filtered
Ingredients: Water; Barley malt; Corn semolina; Hops; E300 & E224.

🍺
Hmmm, corn inside ... better to run away ... google for E300 in E224 ...

The beer has a yellow color with an average head that disappears quickly. There is no noticeable smell. It goes down smoothly, and I don't taste much, but it may have a mild cereal flavor. It's as if I'm drinking sparkling mineral water with a subtle and indistinct taste, not fruity or herbal.
Only in the aftertaste is a very mild bitterness that quickly fades away.

Luckily, it was freezing, and I drank it to the end. It's very neutral, practically tasteless. But it's something: I spotted it in the local Tuš shop, picked it up because I've never seen it before, and it's, I think, the cheapest beer here, €0.68.
I don't know how it's sold, but it won't be in my fridge.

🍻 😎 🍻

As I mentioned, I had quite a busy day. In the morning, after two weeks (we were at the seaside), my wife and I went to look at the field and dig potatoes. I was expecting it to be worse than it was because all my plants were infected with potato blight, and I cut them all down before the sea so they did not reach the tubers.

And then lunch. Everything directly from the field!

🍻 😎 🍻

Let's go on for a beer; there's another can waiting!

Kelt 10%

Brewed by Heineken Slovensko, Hurbanovo, Slovakia.
Can, 0.5 l, alcohol 4.1%, IBU N/A
The same as the previous, lager.

What do the Master Brewers say?

Kelt has been a symbol of honest beer since 1998.
The recipe we use to make it embodies the skill and honest approach to craft that the Celts have been known for since time immemorial. Its balanced bitter taste and the quality ingredients used in its production are appreciated by the good guys all over the country. That is why Kelt in glass bottles and in PET bottles is the best-selling beer in our country, which true Celts like to enjoy as a reward after their daily work.

🍺
Got it from a friend who was in Slovakia, of course I have to taste it.

The beer is clear and golden in color, with an average head that disappears quickly. It doesn't have a strong taste. It goes down smoothly and has mild hints of bitterness and sweetness and a subtle taste of grain and undefined herbs on the palate.
The aftertaste has a mild bitterness, but everything else dissipates quickly.

The beer is drinkable because it's cold, but that's about it. It's an ordinary, average lager, neutral, modest in flavor, nothing special; I'll forget it quickly. It's not available locally, so this will be the only record.

🍻 😎 🍻

And what am I listening to as I write this and taste the beer? Something from the yesterdays #newtunes post. 60's garage rock'n'roll style song by Slick Stings.
Testing new studio speakers :)
